Classroom assistant training help please

I’m really fed up with my job & I’d ideally like to do distance learning to train to do something with kids, I was thinking maybe a classroom assistant or nursey work (My husband suggested being a childminder but I’m not sure about all the H & S etc)

I was just wondering whether anyone does this kind of work & can offer me any advice on what course/qualifications would be best for me?? I want to start it asap so that I’m not rushing to get it finished.

well maybe ask yourself some questions

what age would you like to work with?
would you like to work with mainstream kids or special needs kids?
would you like to work in the field of teaching or helping on a one to one basis?

I've been thinking about this & I'd definately want to work with mainstream kids but I don't mind whether it's teaching or one to one really. I always wanted to be an infant school teacher (until my career path took a different route!) so I'm more interested in working with younger kids before primary school age.

I'm going to look on the interent at what's available & also reviews that people have given on the course.
