So this is my first cycle using my Clear Blue Fertility Monitor and I've been in my highs for over a week. When I was reading the instructions, it told me that I was going to be in the highs for 5+ days for this first cycle because my CBFM is getting used to my body in accurately pinpointing my most fertile days.

My concern is that for two days during my highs, it didn't ask me to test and I feel like those two days were possibly the two days I should've gotten my peak. I base this conclusion on my CM. I was having an abundance of CM during that time and now I'm quite dry like that moment before your period starts (sorry TMI).

Anyone that uses or used a CBFM, please let me know if this has happened to you?

on the 2 days, did u test outside 'the window'? I missed the testing window for 2days 1 cycle cuz i was working nights so I didnt have a morning urine, you need to test within the same time frame every day, if its outside the time frame it wont ask for the tests .......hope this helps xxxxx

Yeah I tested within the window. It says 3 hours before your original time and 3 hours after. I did my first test at 7:14am and those two days I tested at 9:46am and 9:22am and it was clearly within my 3 hours after limit =(
Would it still say I'm in my highs AFTER I've already peaked?

is it a brand new monitor or did u buy it second hand?? cuz i bought mine second hand so i had 2 reset it, otherwise it was still going off the otha cycle from a different person, if it is second hand and uve not reset it it'll think ure the otha person n her cycle may have ovulated by now therefore it'll stop asking for tests......Technology drives me up the bloody wall sometimes ha ha, there's a helpline on the leaflet hun so mayb give them a ring n explain, cud b faulty xxxxx

And wen i missed my peaks all i got was highs so yeh it wud do i think xxx

Yeah I bought mine used. She didn't use it for 9 months do to the fact that she got knocked up within 14 days of using it. I was reading the pamphlet and they said after so many months it resets.
Did you manually reset it? If so, how did you do it?

1. With the monitor OFF, place a clean unused test stick with the cap on (remove plastic cap from one end and snap it onto the other end of stick) in the test stick slot of the monitor.

2. *Make sure it snaps in.*

3. Press and hold the "m" button. Continue pressing the "m" button while turning the monitor ON.

(NOTE: Do not take finger off "m" button until these directions say to do so.)
4. It will show you the "remove the test stick" sign. (a flashing test stick with an arrow pointing right) Continue pressing "m".

5. Keep pressing the "m" button and in about 20 seconds, you will see a screen full of symbols. The screen will look as if it is going crazy and will be full of pics.

6. Remove the test stick first and then QUICKLY release your finger from the "m" button. All of the memory should be wiped out.

7. Your screen should display a flashing "m" and one or two dashes. If it does not, it will probably show a "1" and a non-flashing "m". If it does, then you need to repeat the process so it shows the flashing "m" and dashes.

8. Start using the monitor on CD 1 as per the instruction booklet.

hope this helps hun, its on last page of the phamplet too, if u wana c the pics xxxxxx

Do you remember at what time you pressed the m button? That set the testing window, not the first test.

yes it sounds like it hasn't been reset to me. as the other girls said the testing window is established based on the time you actually press the 'm' button to reset it on CD1 of each cycle i.e. the day you start to bleed. *you can reset it any day between CD1 and CD5 by just holding the m button down and it will cycle through the days* i.e. if you pressed the m button at 9 am on CD1 to reset it, you're testing window would then be 3 hours either side so, so anytime between 6 am and 12am the monitor would request a stick. If you switch it on anytime before or after this each day, it won't ask. It does sound like this is what has happened to me. x

I would definitely try resetting it. My first month I only got 2 highs and a peak though but sounds a bit weird that it missed days to test. My first month it asked me to test 10 days in a row. Good luck :hugs:

I set my "M" at 7am (yes EXACTLY because I set my alarm) and the 2 days it didn't ask me to test, I was CLEARLY in my 3 hours after 7 am to check if I needed to test (I checked at 9:46am & 9:22am on the days it didn't ask me to test).

I also was asked to test 10 straight days in the beginning and then it didn't ask me to test for 2 days and since then, it asked me to take 4 more tests.

ky24 la la,
thank you! I'll be sure to reset it on my next cycle =)

It may have a problem in that case as from memory it should ask for upto 20 days or until you get your peak, in a row without any breaks, as far as I know.

I would do the complete reset that ky24 mentioned and see what happens the following cycle. I'm not aware of it leaving breaks in between asking but you might want to ask in the 'clearblue monitor' thread as there are a lot of people in there that have been using the monitors for a long time.
