Hi, so I was just wondering if anyone has been prescribed Clexane throughout pregnancy as a result of a blood clotting disorder? If so did you continue your pregnancy without growth scans? And did everything turn out ok?

I lost my last baby at 17 weeks due to reduced growth as a result of a blood clot. I was told I would have growth scans this time but at 14 weeks, alongside daily clexane injections (which I've had since 5 weeks), nothing has been planned yet.

So I suppose I am just looking for success stories? If anyone has any?

Thanks so much.

Xx

Hi, I lost my first at 36 weeks. We didn't have a post mortum but had the placenta checked and blood tests carried out on myself. Nothing was found. I was told in my next pregnancy I'd have fort nightly growth scans from 24 weeks.

When pregnant again I didn't see consultant till gone 20 weeks then as said growth scans started at either 24 or 26 weeks. It was detected at 34 weeks that he hasn't grown over the previous fortnight and they delivered him 4 days later at 34+3 weeks.

I then asked to see my consultant before I tried again to see what the plan would be and he said even tho tests were clear for blood clotting he still wanted me to do daily clexane injections from bfp to delivery and also take aspirin. I did that alongside the fortnightly scans and my 3rd boy made it to induction and was born at 38+3. So my only full term pregnancy was the one I was on clexane for.

I got a bfp back in Nov last years and started th clexane straight away but mc, I'm now almost 6 weeks again and been taking it since bfp xx

Ah glad they took good care of you. Sorry for your losses though.

I've just been told that I won't be seeing my consultant until 34 weeks.

Xx

Doesn't make any sense does it considering ur loss was in the 2nd tri. Unless it's just with regards to stopping ur clexane before delivery?

Sorry for ur losses also xx

No itll be to do with having had 2 previous c sections apparently. I've been told I need to take the Clexane for 6 weeks after delivery.
But yeah I'm slightly, I think disappointed is the right word, that they aren't doing any more but I have to trust that they know what's best. Xxx

You can just demand to be seen. Pregnancy after loss is so hard and you need the reassurance that both consultant care and growth scans can bring.
