clomid and opks

Hi ladies

just posted this in the general ttc forum but think it might be better suited here.

im new here, have been ttc for a while but i have annovulatory cycles and ive just been put on 50mg clomid. im currently on CD 4 and wondered when i should start using opks? my cycles vary anywhere between 29-33 days on average but my last cycle was really long 38 days! so i have no idea when the best time to start testing is.
also for anyone else who has taken clomid, what was your ovulation dates like? as i dont ovulate and have never had confirmed ovulation on a chart i have no idea when i would ordinarily O. I always have AF but just no ovulation.
really important for me to get timing right as i am using a sperm donor who doesnt live locally so cant BD as often as I would be able to in a relationship to cover my bases!

what if i ovulate sooner than that tho? have heard of people ovulating as early as day 12 on clomid? x

I still didn't O on clomid. I Oed using femara on cd11. It was confirmed by u/s. I am using opk's for my first time this time as I am not being monitored. You could start using opk's around CD 10. I am on CD 11 and I started using opk's on CD 8.

I start 2-3 days after last Clomid pill..

My doc suggested I start testing on CD8 since it's hard to know when you'll ovulate with new meds.

i ovulated cd14 1st cycle c14 2nd cycle cd15 3rd cycle cd16 4th cycle and cd16 5th cycle you might of hun xxx
