Clomid and Progesterone Question

Hi!

Here's the story. This is my first cycle on clomid, 50mg from CD3-7. I'm quite sure I've never had an issue ovulating before because I've almost always got a +OPK. However, it is possible that my body would just gear up to ovulate and then not actually. I've never had a cycle longer than 48days, usually around 32. This month I had a positive OPK on CD18 which was exciting because normally I don't O until after CD21. I had a big temp dip on the morning of CD19 then two big rises the days following. I thought I O'd for sure. On the third day after, my temps dropped drastically and have stayed low ever since. Blood test on CD23 was negative for ovulation as was blood test on CD30 (levels on CD30 were 2).

My question is, has anyone else experienced this? Do you think I didn't O or did I just have really low progesterone levels after O. Maybe both? Is it possible for clomid to actually make you not ovulate? Any info or advice would be great. Starting 100mg of clomid once the Provera is done. Thanks!

Yes! This happened to me exactly. I did not ovulate on 50mg clomid. Next cycle did 100mg and I Ovulated big time with day 21 at a 50! Still not pregnant, but I did ovulate!

Thanks for the reply! I'm starting 100mg soon so i hope that happens for me as well!!! How many months have you been on it?

I was on 50mg 1 month than 2 months on 100mg. Had way too many side effects and taking a break. Going to try a different med at the new year.
