Jen: I haven't gotten an HCG Trigger shot, and my Dr hasn't suggested one. I am currently on 150mg of clomid (first cycle at this amount). So we are super hoping it works. DH's medical used to cover clomid, then his company changed to a plan that was "exactly the same just cheaper." ... Clomid is NOT covered now, and it costs an extra $16 every 2 weeks... So this dosage of clomid cost us $104. Although it is well worth it.
Argh. I know what you guys mean about people complaining about being pregnant. I actually had to red-list the whole baby/ttc topic with one of my friends. She just got married in September (to her gf of like 7 mths), they are on welfare, and every month she says that they are "broke" and "can't afford groceries". WHY DO YOU WANT TO BRING A CHILD INTO THAT?!?!?!
It infuriates me. Before they even started ttc she said she was so excited she wanted to go buy baby things right then, then she asked what I thought. I told her if there is one thing I learned it is to NEVER get your hopes up, you just never know what cards you are going to be dealt. Do you know what she said to me? KNOWING what DH & I were going through in regards to fertility issues? "DW's family is pretty fertile, so it won't be an issue on that end." I felt like crying. Some people can be sooo insensitive.
Another incident happened when I wasn't around. My youngest sister, who lived with DH and I for a year or so, was working with this younger girl who got knocked up and would spend the entire work day complaining about being pregnant. My sister came home one day and told me she had had enough and snapped. She looked right at the girl and said "If it's that bad maybe you should have thought about that before sleeping around, and I am sick and tired of having to come to work and listen to you b***h about being pregnant - then have to go home and have my sister cry because she is trying and can't get pregnant." I was very proud of her. She said the girls face dropped and she didn't say another word all day.
Haha. Just realized I wrote a book, sorry ladies. I do agree that when it (finally) happens for us ltttc'ers we will appreciate it wayyyyy more than the "oopsie" babies. (Not saying that they don't cherish their LO's, but you know what I mean.)
