Clomid for second baby too?

Hi Ladies

My little boy was conceived on our second round of Clomid. We are going to TTC again in June, but Im not sure whether we should go to the Dr and ask to use Clomid again, or whether we would need to try on our own for a certain period of time?

My periods have been and still are very irregular, which was why we were prescribed it before.

In my opinion~ it wouldn't hurt to ask. It will depend on your doc.. if you express a concern and your difficulty the 1st time~ they might be more likely to prescribe.

My friend conceived her first on clomid second cycle. They decided to start ttc their second 6 months after their first child was born, thinking it would take them a long time again. They conceived on their first month on their own!!

So...it depends on how regular your cycle is...and how long you are willing to wait.

i know many folks that get their second baby as a surprise after their first clomid baby.

i was one of those surprises.... my mother took a year of clomid in the 70s to have my brother, then i came along out of the blue. many of my co workers also used clomid/ IUI/ IVF and the second child was conceived without any intervention.


you can ask your doctor, and given your circumstances they may ask you try again for a certain period before starting clomid. everyone has a different infertility reason so he could always say yes!
