Clomid is making me crazy!

I started taking clomid on friday (30th) and at first it was nothing but as the days went on I noticed my mood has been WAY out of hand. I am freaking out and screaming at everyone. I dont know what my deal is but i want to cry about everything. Is this normal? My husband hates me right now and we've almost broken up a few times over this. I feel crazy and I dont know if its this or what is going on. but i need answers asap!!

Oh hunnie, Im sorry, Im not on Clomid (YET(. Hopefully he can understand that apparently the Clomid affects mood. I know Im about 2 go on my 2nd round of Progesterone, and that does affect my mood as well Hope he comes around. Just remind him WHY you're on Clomid 2 begin with!

I was only on clomid once, and I was cranky. After that I switched to injectibles and they didn't affect my mood at all. Maybe discuss different meds with your doc?

One of the reasons I will never take clomid again. wait till the TWW gets here . my moods were way worse in the tww. alot of things around the house got broken thanks to clomid and on top of that it made my lining so thin our miracle pregnancy could not stick.

now im onto femara I heard it does not cause bad side effects like clomid.

if its effecting your relationship stop taking it, and ask your doctor for something else. its not worth it to have DH walking out on you. there are other things that can make you have a strong egg without causing insanity.

I get the same mood swings shawty! I am absolutely awful for the second week of the cycle- and then again for the last week- just an absolute wreck! I switch between being a complete bitch to OH to a blubbering wreck! I am not sure how much more I can stand of it!

It has been so horrible for me..I told him I can't help my mood swings....I feel so bad after how bad I blow up on him. He said he understands now and doesnt' take it personally but good grief i would hate to live with me right now! I actually totally forgot about how they said it will cause mood swings but BOY i didn't think it would be this bad! I took my last pill last night so I am hoping it will all stop now. I can't take the crying one minute then wanting to kill someone the next..UGH! I just wanna be pregnant! I go in Monday for the trigger shot so we shall see what happens..

Yeah, they do have a stronger response. But I've never been on clomid alone, only clomid in combination with injectibles.

hi, am on my cycle#2 on clomid..and I can perfectly understand u..am feeling crazy..too much mood swings..depression..and I keep asking my DH that if he wud walk away from me if am going to be like this...I get upset for tiny lil things and I get angry for nothing at all...Sometimes I wonder this is not me at all..but I jus feel soooo helpless...I hope this stops soon coz I cant take the negative effects this tablet is causing me..yday when I asked my doc he said that I have to take it for 2 more cycles and see if I get pregg and after that he might suggest me whats my next option..but I hated it..what else can I do coz I did ovoulate on clomid last month and my doc was happy with my dc21 progestrone results..hence he wants me to try for 2 more months if this cycle again fails like the first one..

Its easy than done..coz my doc said jus dont stress and stay relaxed and thats simply not possible..I dont know if its due to the tablets..

I hope we get our BFPS this month to that we can all say "goodbye" to Clomid...

Well ladies no such luck. The 50mg didn't do anything for me so they had me start doing 100mg starting today..is it ok to keep taking these pills back to back like this?! They told me to start them right away today and go back again in a week again to see if I have any Follicles..then if i do they will give me the shot to make me ovulate. This seems all so overwhelming to me. I thought 50mg was making me crazy...OH BOY!

I'd love to say it got better for me shawty- but 100mg was twice as bad for me! (and it didn't even bloody work!) - hope the side effects are better for you this cycle

Thank you I really hope so too! if this dont work I dont know what i will do! GR I dont know why we can't all just be normal like most other women..darnit! Are you currently taking clomid or have you switched to something else? These pills sure aren't the cheapest either! I dont want to have to live off these nasty pills for too long.

I am still on them. I ovulated on the first and second cycle on 50mg. Then the third cycle I don't think I did- although charts thought I ov'ed really late on CD28. Doc moved me up to 100mg this cycle to try and help a better ovulation- and nothing so far (I am CD21 today and have just been for my bloods)- so I am either not going to ovulate or it's going to be really late!! Not sure what's going to happen now- I have another 3 months worth of 100mg to take - but will have to see what the doc says now this month has gone down the pan!!

It seems so unfair as the side effects were that bad this week that I was sure it must be doing what it should!! I felt horrendous from CD6- CD14. I have felt fine since though so maybe the side effects died once my body didn't manage to ovulate! Who knows?

I'm so confused most of the time because I thought with clomid was suppose to be takin after a period and now i'm taking it every week? I dont chart cause honestly i wouldn't even kno where to begin :S I never have periods unless I am prescribed provera and that usually gives me a regular cycle but I never ovulate. I just do what they tell me at the doc! lol

I just started last monday and they gave me 50mg to take for 5 days..then i went back in today to see if I had any follicles on my ovaries yet and it turns out i dont so they gave me 100mg of clomid to start today and i go back in monday again to see if it worked. So this will be my 2nd cycle in two weeks
