I won a battle this year. . . . the battle for fertility medicine. I have been fighting for a referral and meds for a few years. My GP said that I needed to lose weight and my "PCOS" (She rolled her eyes- obviously it was my love handles keeping me from pregnancy, not my textbook PCOS symptoms) would disappear. We live in a very rural area so it isn't easy to switch to a different office.
However, once I married DH (I'm 28, he's 29) I switched to his doctor, who immediately ran a full blood panel and diagnosed me with PCOS. Luckily, my previous doctor had prescribed Metformin (500mg 2x/day) as, what she called it, a placebo pill that might help me lose weight. My new doctor renewed the prescription, gave me Provera (10mg once a day for 10 days) and then CLOMID (50mg for 5 days, CD 5-9). I am overjoyed that I'm finally able to actively TTC.
This is my first month regularly temping as I have very infrequent periods (two since starting Metformin last November, but no natural ones before that) and I'm not quite sure what I'm doing. I'll attach my chart for you all to ogle and tell me whether I'm completely messing it up. The gold crosshairs are where I manually put them in, since the app I'm using doesn't like that Clomid raised my temperatures above what I think is the coverline. The dots out in space are the disregarded Clomid-induced high temperatures.
Also, I know the basics of TTC, but if you have ANY advice I am more than willing to soak it all up.
PS: I had pinch-like cramping in both ovaries for a couple days, but for the past two days I have had rather sharp pains in my left ovary. As my temps show I have supposedly already ovulated, I'm not sure what that's about.
