Hi Ladies-
My question is if anybody has been prescribed clomid while they have low estrogen levels and if it has been successful or not. I am not ovulating at all which is why it is being prescribed, but since my estrogen levels are low, I'm thinking it may be harder for the clomid to work. Anybody?
My quick backstory- I went off BCP in September and had my typical withdrawal bleed, but then I never got a period after that. I saw an OB/GYN once I hit like CD60 and she did 2 weeks of provera. I still didn't get a period after stopping provera, only like 2 days of spotting. My labs showed that my estrogen level was quite low, not menopausal level, but she recommended I see a fertility specialist. I had that appointment on Friday and he told me that I have hypoestrogenic hypothalamic anovulation of an unknown cause. So he prescribed clomid 100 mg for 7 days and I will do a follicular ultrasound 2 weeks after my first dose.
