clomid newbie please help :-))

hi girls xxxx ill give ya bit of my background 1st. will try not to bore ya hehe xxx
ttc nearly 4yrs. 11yrs ago emcs (diff partner). put off goin for fertility help.prayed for miracle!! last dec finally went. hsg.ultrasound fine. lap n dye not so good. totally full of adhesions. but clear tubes and healthy fimbral ends etc. end of aug have a laparotomy to free my tubes etc of the adhesions. hospital admin error means im stil waiting to see my cons after my op for my clomid. as ive just started a new cycle ive began taking my friends clomid (50mg days 2-6)
i know im probably being silly but my doc deffo said he is giving me clomid and i didnt want to waste another month. 4yrs is a long time and im petrified my adhesions are growing back as we speak.
so sorry for waffling. what i was wondering is any tips ladies from you clomid users? will i ovulate earlier or later? af be later?
obviously ive not seen my doc for hints etc so any help welcome.good or bad xxxx

I would use OPKs all month on the clomid in case it changes your ovulation. It moved mine back a day or so each month I took it. Other than that just BD as much as you can haha. The clomid gave me a lot of side effects, so prepare for some mood swings!

I get pretty much every SE under the sun from clomid. While taking the pill i get headaches, hot flashes at night and i'm a total B****. After O is when the real fun SE happened. I was super bloated due to swollen ovaries, headaches, sore breasts, heart burn, Dizziness and cramps. Just prepare yourself and the ones around you. I have O'd on CD 17 both cycles. I'm on cycle #2 right now and O'd yesterday.

i have very regular cycles 31days. do you guys ov naturally without clomid? i do. i always ov around cd16. so maybe it could change my cycle length also. god i hope it works. xxx

do you know what the success rates are like for ladies who already ov? how are you finding it?
we dont qualify for ivf/iui so i literally have to put all my prayers into clomid. (

80% of women will ovulate on clomid. Of those 80% the pregnancy susses rate is 40%. I believe. Please correct me if i'm wrong

my cycles used to be 38-45 days mostly. last month, 1st cycle, ovulated around cd16, this month cd20, so it's a godsend for me!! had some SE, few while taking it, cramps at O, quite a few after O as well, just feel irritated a lot! and normally i am a peaceful laid back person.

Hi flagirly- That is great clomid has been so great for you. I am having very similar SE as you. It looks like your about to start testing and your temps look good. on a pretty steady incline. that good right? I dont temp yet. I am thinking i'm going to start if i dont get my BFP this cycle.

I get hot flashes big time! and that isnt just while i'm taking the pill either. I have them the whole cycle. you are going to have alot of SE if it is working. The more SE the better it is working my doctor said.

ohhh thats positive then isnt it!!! im just a nervous wreck as its my friends clomid im taking. my doc said after my laparotomy he is givin me clomid but their admin has messed up. i didnt wanna miss another cycle.
im just unsure if as i have regular cycles and ovulation maybe he will monitor me on it. i debated taking them for days. and know ive been silly doing it. desperation after nearly 4years (

I ovulate normally on my own, but my doc prescribed clomid because he didn't know what else to do. All our tests are normal. Like the other ladies said... be prepared for every symptom in the book! Before O, I felt amazing, at the top of the world really. After O, the hot flashes, cramps, dryness, boob pain and swelling, nausea, and horrible irritability are almost not worth taking the drug. HOWEVER.... I am not spotting like normal and my acne has cleared up... so... maybe I'll just suck it up and deal!!

has your doc been monitoring you whilst on it? im such a worrier. and basically if i have messsed myself up its all my own fault for not waitin one more month xxx fingers crossed for us all!!! testing soon for you? very exciting

I also ovulate normally (or at least got the positive OPK) but the Dr had me do 6 months. I had tons of side effects but no BFP the only side effect to watch out for would be MAJOR pain and swelling, that could be a problem with your ovaries. Otherwise it is pretty harmless

so did your doc not monitor you huni?? has he given you a lap? my hsg was fine. my doc gave me a lap and found severe adhesions. ther had been no chance at all off bfp due to tubes bein in wrong place. ive just had laparotomy to remove them all. im very lucky i had clear tubes even tho i was in such a mess inside xxx
p.s i had hubby on macca tabs to boots sperm. it made him very randy haha
