Clomid, no ovulation, period coming early?

I'm currently on my first round of clomid (50mg). I am in a clinical trial so it's a little odd (i do not menstruate or ovulate and took the clomid starting CD101, but they are calling that adjusted cycle day 3).

Anyways I am now on "adjusted cycle day 17" and I am having bleeding. I had a blood test the day before I started clomid, which showed I had not ovulated. I have been taking OPKs daily since I started clomid and have had no positives.... So why am I bleeding? Could it be implantation bleeding and I just missed my LH surge?

It depends on how much you're bleeding... If it is red it's probably a "break through" period. That means that you didn't ovulate but your body is still shedding the uterine lining (sort of like the bleed you get on the inactive pills of birth control)...if the bleeding is light and brown or pink it could be ovulation or implantation bleeding
