Hey ladies

Starting my clomid next cycle just wondering when to start using ovulation tests? I heard you ovulate from 5 to 10 days after the last clomid tablet so wud u test 4days after the last tablet and carry on testing until positive?

Also i know thatthem cheap internet ones didnt work for me so i purchased a digital CB ovulation test and therefore is there a certain time its best to test use these tests? I know with the cheap opks you had to test between certain time also you had to hold your wee in for a certain amount of time and limit water intake, do you have to do the same with these more expensive tests?

Any advice be much appreciated..
xxxxx

Hi, I dont use the tests as I have pcos and so they dont give accurate readings, I am on clomid, I take it cd2 - 6 and I temp, I start taking more "notice" of my temp 4 days after my last tablet as ovulation can vary, though I seem to be around the cd14 mark..

sorry if not much help but did not want to just read and run..

i have pcos and i find that cheap opk's were pretty reliable with clomid or without.

when i had clomid i ovulated cd 21 (ish) cant remember exactly. but i just bought cheapies i pay about £7 and get 25 'instalert' ones from access diagnostics, i prefer them to the ones in the green pack.

but i would do it from like cd 10 +

hi there beauty.....this was my first cycle on clomid, currently on 25dpo....i used clearblue ov test this mth like i have done for about 6 mths of this year & i ov the same day as i normally would so it didnt change x

Well i started off using IC and they were absolutely useless! I didn't get any change from them so then i started using first response ones which cost me a fortune! But then someone recommended me instalert from access diagnostic and they have been brilliant! I can't recommend then highly enough! And as Manchester said they are mega cheap!

I start testing around cd10 and keep going untiil i get my dark line.

As for saving up your pee, i think you should really hold it for a few hours regardless of what test you are taking.

Good luck!

I found ic useless on clomid. They were showing + too early on. I switched to Tescos own and found them to be great. I found my + was a few days later on clomid. XX

This is my first round of clomid taken CD2-6 and I got a positive on an OPK on CD16 and FF confirmed ovulation on CD18. I've used CB digital and don't think you need to use them a certain times or hold your pee for them to work - well not for me anyway.

Good luck xx

they are opks. i find them MUCH better than the other internet cheapies around!

i pay about £6 plus delivery for 25, i get them in a little container - they are the 'medical- nurse' ones....it means no ripping packets open etc!
