Hi ladies

Hubby and I have been TTC for 19 months.

Ive been diagnosed with endometriosis and a blocked/narrowed right tube back in feb this year.

I have also had my day 21 progesterone and the level came back at 2.3

Hubby has had his SA and all is fine.

I am waiting on a referral to Fertility Services at the moment, my GP has been away for 2 weeks.

I was wondering whether with my Progesterone being so low and not being sure if I am actually even ovulating, could my GP prescribe clomid?

Could clomid work for us?

Thanks
Em xxx

Hi Emily!

I think you have to be referred to fertility services first - I dont think your GP can prescribe this. I had a laproscopy done as I was having bleeding mid cycle and they suspected a polyp. When i had the op to have it removed it had gone. They took a biopsy of my womb while they were there to test that and all is fine with that. I was prescribed 4 cycles of clomid from my gynae after 18months, because they think that my ovulation is not regular or I have some annovulatory cycles. My progesterone was low when I had my bloods taken. It sounds like clomid might be the next step for you. I am finding clomid very frustrating though - just started 4th cycle with no sign of anything. It works for a lot of people though so don't be put off by me! If you do go on clomid ask to be monitored - I wish I had so I would know if it is actually doing its job for definite. I feel as though I am in limbo, although I have booked to see my gp on monday to ask if my bloods can be checked. Good luck with everything! Hope you get what you need soon & hope I have helped a little x:hugs:

hi emily, i have unexplained infertility and after naging my doc for over a year he finally decided to give me clomid, but i have been through all the tests and fertility specialist said were all normal, however my doc said my progesterone level was bit low he was he would like to see 40 to see a good ovulation but yeah they need to refer you to fertility specialist asap.
hope this helps
