Hi Ladies!

This is my second round on Clomid 50mg. I am just looking for some Clomid buddies to help make this cycle fly by and to share stories, side effects, and symptoms! Anyone interested... Feel free to join.

A little about myself and TTC JOURNEY,

DH (28) and I (24) have been TTC since July 2011/20months. We both have had all the standard tests and all the results come back normal so now we are diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

As far as treatments go we have done 1 round of Clomid without any kind of monitoring besides OPKs and that cycle ended with a BFN. This is our second cycle using Clomid 50mg and I will be taking it CD 5-9. Today is cycle 5 and I plan on taking it before I go to bed. Last month my only side effects from the Clomid was extreme hotflashes and slight nausea. I am hoping to hear back from the doctor today with further instructions because I requested that we do some kind of test to confirm ovulation since I am slightly concerned because we have never tested for that.

I always get positive OPKs around the time that I am supposed to and usually matches up with my CM so my doctor feels confident that I am ovulating on my own. The only thing making me wonder is my first cycle on Clomid I got a smiley face (I used Clearblue digital smiley face OPKs) on CD 14 but then again on CD 19 so it definitely confused me as I did not know which positive opk to go by. Plus I had no CM the whole cycle. I think I read somewhere that Clomid can dry up your CM.

I have never charted but decided I might as well give it a try since Ive tried everything else over the last 20 months. So I bought a bbt thermometer and signed up on fertility friend to start tracking. Hoping it helps me pin point ovulation better than just the OPKs.

Well that was my story! I would love to chat with some of you and hear your stories to! Or even just a cycle buddy :flower:

Hey, i Took my first round Of clomid in september after Having a chemical Pregnancy. i also take 50mg days 5-9. That cycle i felt a little Nausea, hot flashes, And dizzy Spells. We took A little break And have Decided to take clomid Again next cycle. Af Shoulf be Due bout 2/5. :)

Hey :)

I am on my 3rd round of clomid that is actually working for me. I did 50,150 and 200mg that didn't work. The past 2 cycles on 300mg CD5-9 did make me ovulate, but not get pregnant. CD2 today. Starting tablets on Sunday.

Charting showed me exactly when I was ovulating. I ovulated on CD18 both times. Lets hope 3rd time is the lucky one.

Shelbypxoxo- sorry to hear about the chemical pregnancy but I do wish you the best of luck with your second round on Clomid. Sounds like me and you get the same side effects from Clomid. Although I took my first pill this cycle yesterday around 5pm and I've had no symptoms so far... Last cycle I had hotflashes with in 2 hours after taking it. We will see if this cycle will be different or not.

Jillie89- I am glad that the 300mg is working for you! That's great and let's all keep our FX'd that the 3rd time is the charm for you :-) Do you experience more extreme side effects from such a high dose of Clomid? Also, I am hoping I will be able to get this charting thing down but so far I am a bit confused. BUT I plan on reading up on it today on the web and educate myself. Lol

How long have you ladies been TTC?

I am starting my third round in a couple days... AF showed today. :( Have been ttc since dec 2011 and took a small break in the fall for a couple months.

We have been TTC Since November 2012 - so over 14 months now. I was diagnosed with PCOS in June of 2012, hence why they started me on fertility drugs pretty quickly.

I never got any side effects on the dosages under 200mg. The only side effects I get on the 300mg is dizziness and a bit if nausea. Nothing too bad at all though, so I am lucky.

Kiki04- Good luck with your their round... Maybe the 3rd time will be the charm?! What dosage are you on? I also took a small 2 cycle break in the fall too. It was much needed and so nice to relax and not stress over TTC.

Jillie89- Yeah you are pretty lucky... Some women swear they go crazy on Clomid. So far today is CD 7 and I am taking the pills from days 5-9 and I've had NO side effects. I'm feeling pretty lucky too. Last cycle, by this time, I was waking up every night drenched in sweat.

Oh I got those hot flashes too! And I am only on 50mg

Hot flashes are never nice.

I just went to the chemist and got my 300mg again to start tomorrow CD5. FX this is the last time I will have to choke down 6 tablets each morning for 5 days and will actually get my desired result.

$100 each round too hits the pocket hard at times on top of dr consults and everything else :( We have added up all our drs appointments, tests, hospital procedures, vitamin supplements and drugs, etc - we have spent over 7 grand already in 15 months on TTC. I just tell myself that our little one will be worth every cent when we have them!

Well ladies I am on CD 10 so just waiting for a positive OPK. I finished all of my Clomid days 5-9 without any symptoms except maybe I was a little irritable at times. What CD are you guys on? Hope you all are doing well!

I am starting my clomid tomorrow!! cd5-9 this month..

CD7 today - half way through my clomid. Choking down 6 chalky tablets, I swear is getting harder each round :( I feel like such a real druggo taking them and all my other medications in the morning.
