Clomid twice in 1 cycle?

Has anyone ever done this?

I took Clomid days 4-9 and have had bloods/scans to monitor follicles. They started growing, but have seemed to level off and my estradiol level is decreasing. My fertility specialist wants me to take Clomid again for the next 5 days (cd 16-20) to help them continue to grow. I've never heard of this before. I've heard that gonal-f is sometimes given to boost the follicles later in a cycle, but never Clomid.

My doctor prescribed Clomid 100mg to be taken on CD3-7. I went in on CD12 for an ultrasound to check for follicles. I had one follicle on my left ovary measuring 11mm. My doctor than prescribed 150mg of clomid to be taken for five days (which well be CD12-16). He says this will force follicle to mature. I than went back CD17 for another scan . I had 1 follicle on my right ovary and 2 on my left all measuring over 22mm. He than went ahead and gave me an injection of Novarel 10000iu and said to start BDing next day. Hope this worked.. I had never heard of it before!

You're welcome! I hope everything works out for you...do u go for a follow up scan after the clomid.. This tww is driving me crazy. I hope af doesnt show her ugly face.

I have to go in on Friday (it will be after 4 days of the extra Clomid), so we'll see what happens. All of this waiting is awful. I hope it works so I can move forward with the IUI.
