Hi everyone. Just popping in to share my experiences of clomid. I was trying for a baby for 2+ years without success. i have polycystic ovarian syndrome had numerous investigation tests done. I found that the only side affects that i got was slight mood swings and minor abdominal discomfort. I took clomid for three months cycle day 5 - 10 but it did not work.
BUT then they changed it to cycle day 2 - 6 and on my fifth month attempt it worked. im now 15 weeks 1 day preg. Clomid made my dream come true. good luck to everyone trying or thinking about using clomid. I wish you all luck

Thank you!!! Hope it works for us all

Congrats!!! xx

How wonderful for you! It gives me hope as I will be beginning my Clomid in 3 days. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy :)

Fantastic news, Clomid worked for me! First GO!
Good luck with your pregnancy xxxx

Congratulations and thanks for sharing. It's so good to hear clomid success stories, I'm on my 3rd attempt after a m/c in August which I got PG on my 3round cycle of Clomid then. So got everything crossed except my legs this cycle!!!

congratulations on your :bfp:, i was diagnosed this week with PCOS and am seeing my consultant on thursday and it looks as though he is going to suggest clomid, it is nice to hear that it can work xx

I love hearing clomid success stories! I am getting ready to start clomid tomorrow - hope I can add my own success story! Babydust to all :)

What a lovely thread!! Its nice to hear success with clomid....I've heard quite a few unsuccessful clomid people so its nice to know that it does work. I may be starting it soon too. I have PCO and am abit wary thoughh as i thoughht you shouldn't use clomid if you have cyst(s) on your ovaries .......is it right that it depends on the size...I think mine is quite big.....but may be below the cut off. Anyone know?

Also how long were your cycles? Maybe that determines what day you take clomid?

Hi, my pcos was not picked up on the ultrasound scans that were done they couldn't find any cysts. But they said the reason why they diagnosed me with pcos was because of the blood tests that they did. I dont really understand it much. They said the blood tests in some way said that i had it. My periods were really erratic, sometimes i could go two or three months before my next period. The longest though was six months.

Hi i take it you got your BFP while taking clomid? How many cycles had you taken? I have a large cyst on my right ovary and I think that is messing up my hormones...meaning I have long and erratic cycles like you too. At least it gives me hope if clomid worked for you!

hi,yeah. the doctors did a few blood tests before i was on the clomid and each time they said that i wasn't ovulating. when i was on clomid i ovulated. It was my fifth month attempt that worked for me.
