hiya, ive had some confusion over how to hold the bottle!

Does the Air hole in the teat need to be facing down (covered in milk) or facing up??

With my first son i used them and had the air hole facing down the whole time and my LO never had problems with colic or wind or anything..

This time round im doing the same and my LO seems fine with it.. but i just wondered what is the correct way? you think they would tell you on the packet!

I was wondering this! I've tried facing down, up and to the side but I can't see a difference?! Are we missing something?!

i havd always assumed it goes at the top, under their nose. We have never had problems such as colic x

According to the Tommee Tipee web site, you are supposed to hold them in line with your babies nose! I looked it up as i was wondering the same thing.x

It doesn't really make any difference, but you're meant to put them at the top. I used find that if they were covered by milk, sometimes you'd get the odd drip, which is annoying!

I just started feeding my LO bottles today & had wondered what that 'bit' was on the teat! Thought it was just a 'pattern' :dohh:

Glad I read this thread now
