My 12 day old baby always cluster feeds in the evening normally for 2 - 2 and a half hours but tonight he hasn't stopped. He's been on the boob almost constantly from 7pm and it's now nearly 2am and he's still wanting it. The only break he's had was about 40 mins around 9pm when he slept. I'm tired and seriously considering a bottle because I'm worried he's not getting any milk out anymore after feeding for so long.

Milk is made continuously, so while he might not be getting as much as quickly as he would if he went, say, 2 hours between feeds, he is probably getting plenty. Unfortunately, cluster feeding is just a part of breastfeeding a newborn. Basically he's about to go through a growth spurt and he's trying to prepare your supply. When this happens with my almost 4 week old, I just try to nurse her as often as possible. That said, we have recently introduced a bottle (we were waiting until about 4 weeks to do so) so her daddy can feed her once a week or so, but I pump to make up for the "skipped" feeding.

Yep sounds pretty normal. My LO used to feed 10pm-7am like clockwork. If he's having normal wet/dirty diapers then he's getting enough milk. :)

FTM here but I feel you, she gets fussy in the evenings, & sometimes it seems to get worse, like last night could not put her down, but she was detaching herself and then changing her mind. Bit daddy while I was doing dishes lol
