Cold and stuffed nose

DH passed his cold to me about 4 days ago. Started off with a sore throat, but sore throat went away after 2 days. Now it's just completely stuffed nose, so much so I've to breath through my mouth, and a few body aches. Temperature is normal for me (hanging around 98.5). I've been taking OTC medicines that my doc's website says are fine, but I'm not sure how long I can keep taking them without harming the baby.

Anyone else come down with cold during second tri? What helped relieve your symptoms?

My son just passed on his sinus infection, ear infection, AND pink eye to me a little over a week ago. I'm finally over it, but in addition to taking antibiotics (which you probably don't need for just a cold) I took otc benedryl which really helped my stuffed up nose and generally dried up the mucus. My doctor said it's safe to take everyday I needed it, but if your concerned just call your doctor and ask.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well and hope you get better soon. I caught something god awful in first tri so I got not only vomiting all day but a cold too. ugh. I don't wish a cold during pregnancy on anyone. There are lots of opinions about taking meds while pg but my dr said there is no reason to be miserable and if you're not doing well and arn't healthy it's not good for baby. Get well soon.

I've had two colds and the stomach flu since being pregnant... My doc said don't take anything and use a warm saline rinse one the sinuses. I know, not the answer you were hoping for...

The docs are so confusing, some say take meds, some say don't take meds. I'm on the fence right now. Since all the symptoms are gone, except for stuffed nose, I'm just using the nasal spray to help in breathing.
