My first labor and delivery was very fast and very (slightly) dramatic haha

I was in and out of labor for 4 months or so. My active labor was about 20 hours, but hard labor didn't hit til around 7:30pm. Water broke at 8-ish pm, and baby was delivered at about 8:20pm....in my pants

How did your first labors compare to following labors? I'm just curious as we are NTNP for #2 and am thinking I may be pregnant.

My 1st my waters broke at 10pm while they were examining me. I had complications and I wasn't dilating I was 1cm 2 weeks before the day he was born and in slow labour and they eventually decided they would induce me. I stayed 1cm until 7.30 the next morning and I was 5cms..Then they were rushing me for csection but they needed a blood sample 1st from babies head at 7.50am they said I was 10cms and they needed him out now so I had a forceps delivery at 8am. I was cut and tore to pieces they were stitching me up for 50 mins after he was born. Was horrific.

With my 2nd I was induced again 2 days after my due date as again I'd been in slow labour that wasn't progressing for over 2 weeks. They examined me and I was 1cm so they put the tablet in at 10am. Examined me at 17.30 and I was 3cm so they broke my waters. They examined me again at 20.30 and I was 6cms. 20 mins later I really needed to push and the midwife was telling me I wasn't dilated enough I couldn't push. After alot of insisting that the baby was coming now she examined me again and I was 10cms and ready to push. 10 minutes of pushing and he was here. No tears no cuts no stitches nothing.

Thanks :)

I was in slow labor with my LO too, but for like 4 months and was 80% effaced and 3 centimeters for 2-3 of those months. They spent that time pumping me with meds trying to keep her in. Ugh. Lol

Aww I went into early labour with contractions at 26 weeks with my 1st but luckily it stopped so they kept me in for a few days to make sure it had stopped and I wasn't dilating and then sent me home and stopped me working and I had pretty much bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy. My 2nd was definately a better pregnancy and labour all round haha :)

Well my waters first broke at 14 weeks  rehealed at 24  started latent phase of labour the day before I was due (the 3rd), was 1-2cm at 11pm on the 6th, 3cm at 2am on the 7th (had pethidine at this point), 7cm at 4am (gas and air from then on) and gave birth at 7:42am on the 7th. Labour was pretty straightforward. Established 3 hours 2 minutes, pushed for 57 minutes but I retained the placenta so had to sit over a bedpan to try and push it out. That lasted for 38 minutes.
