Complete placenta previa

Hi ladies,

Advice needed please.......

I had a scan last week where I was told the placenta is low but not covering my cervix. I went back today due to a bleed last night and the doctor said the placenta has now moved completely over my cervix.

I've already had more bleeds than I can handle and now I'm terrified the placenta won't be moving up at all.

Has anybody had a similar situation where it did still move?

Yes, I've had this twice. With my first son it moved out of the way and he was born naturally, the second time it didn't move and he was born via csection. Your chances are actually pretty good, most people's do move by the time the baby is ready to come out only needs to be 2cms away from OS if I remember rightly

Ah that's great, that's put my mind at ease.

I just worried because at a scan just one week ago it wasn't covering OS and in a week it's completely moved the wrong way!!
Just got to pray now that it'll move back and away. What a worry.

I had this my 2nd pregnancy. Hardly any bleeding later in pregnancy though. I went into labor and we did a c-section due to the OS being covered. Baby was healthy and fine! GL xx

Did you have bleeding in the second trimester? I get a small bleed about once a week at the moment.
