Completely random craft post

So me and the kids are doing a craft project this half term in which we're decorating photo frames with random bits and bobs and then filling them with photos of the kids dressed up in their fancy dress outfits.

The question is i've painted the kids frames for them tonight so they can start decorating tomorrow but i was just looking for some inspiration as to what DS can use to decorate his with? DD has beads from a broken bracelet, the decorative bits off of a broken headband and play shoes, glitter, feathers and some little gems ive found laying around. DS only has glitter and gems so far. I was just wondering what else we could add? He loves lego, trains and superheros but we dont have any 'odds and ends' to use iykwim?

Have you got any magazines you can cut out the pictures, get some cheap stickers, or maybe even use legos to print

I have some stickers but I don't want them to peel off after a week or so.

If you painted with a layer of pva glue you could create a varnish to keep them on
