Not posted for a while so thought I would update my story.
Been ttc 3 years in June. Had a hsg done in December to be told that both my tubes are blocked & our only option of conceiving would be ivf.
We went back to the consultant at the beginning of this month & he told us that we wouldn't get funded ivf as my husband has a child from a previous relationship who is 9 years old. I felt like my whole world was crashing down on me as realistically we could never afford to fund our treatment.
Just as we was about to leave the consultant had a look at my hsg results and started to smile. He told me that my left tube was blocked no dye going in our out, but my right tube was filling but not spilling. He seemed optimistic that he might be able to fix this and booked me in for a lap & dye last week.
The results of the lap & dye have filled me with hope as BOTH tubes are clear no blockages. He removed some scar tissue, not sure where from & also one of my ovaries were further back than it should be so he sorted th too.
I'm going back to see him in 6 weeks to discuss what next, but does this sound promising? I'm certain I don't ovulate on my own so maybe clomid will do the trick? My questions are has anyone else been told tubes are blocked only to discover from a lap that thre not? When is it safe to bd after surgery? Is there a risk of ectopic?
I know I'm not pregnant yet, but I feel so happy to still have some hope that one day we will get our little baby.
