Confused about first bloods

My doctor told me I was being sent for my bloods. . . . . .

On the forms it says -

- Full blood count (C)
- Menopause screen (LFE)
- Prolactin (PROL2)
- Urea and Electrolytes (U&E) for GPS
- Liver function tests (LFT)
- Thyroid function test (TFT2)

She only gave me forms and not the little tubes or plastic bag things that you get for a normal blood test.

Does this sound right??

I thought that the CD21 and CD7 tests were more to test progesterone levels?
Or is this included in the full blood count?
I don't want to wait a whole other month . . .

I'm not sure I'm a lil confused myself. I know that on CD3 I had blood work done to check my quality and egg reserve same on cd10 but on clomid. I would call your doc and tell her to explain in english sometimes they assume we know what they are talking about because they have been doing what they do for so long. Good luck!

I was thinking the same thing but it's Saturday tomorrow so I'd have to wait till Monday morning. . .

I know you have to wait all weekend, but you should call Monday. I really hate all this waiting we have to do. Waiting for Mr. Right, Waiting to try, Then TWW, and then 9 months of waiting.........................and list could go on! LOL Have a great weekend!!

All of those are good to have (esp the thyroid function test as that can affect TTC). Normally for CD3 they test things like FSH, LH, prolactin and sometimes ostrogen. CD21 (or 7dpo) they test progesterone and sometimes LH.
I am wondering if the FSH/oestrogen is part of the "menopause screening". I would have thought that would check your egg reserve...

When i had bloods done recently, on my form it said
LH
FSH
TFT
Prolactin
Progesterone

She told me i was ovulating ok and that i wasnt near the menopause so i think the FSH prob was the menopausal screening one.
It doesnt sound like progesterone is on ur form so i wud speak to ur doc x
