Hiya ladies

on my 4th round of clomid, doctor upped the dose this time and has done 21 day blood tests, i was told to ring today to get my results and the doctors secretary has just rang me back to say they had to send off for more results and that my doctor is now on holiday until the new year so i have to ring back then?

Im so confused, I just wanted to know if I had ovulated, Im on day 33 now and what do I do when the witch gets me? I'll be missing a full month of being able to take clomid or having scans etc???

xx

i would no way accept this!! demand you speak to some one else that can help hun. have you enough clomid to be continuing with? If you cant speak to anyone else( hopefully you can!!!) then i would continue with the clomid dose & same days if af arrives that you was last on. Hopefully af wont arrive tho anyway & you get ur BFP!! :) Good luck! xx

he only gave me 1 month more because he said if that didnt work this month he would look at other avenues, wouldnt mind but its not even NHS its private x

Just rang them back and told them I wanted to speak to someone, apparently they said they sent off for more tests when they got my first lot back so I have to wait, my gaene is on holiday over xmas and new year but his secretary will ring him with the results and then he or she will ring me, I told her Im on day 33 (my usual cycle is 30-33 days?) and if im to start clomid I take it days 2-6, and if I end up missing a month I will be very upset as Im paying for treatment and I shouldnt have to wait a full month (which as we all know feels like a lifetime when your waiting)

She'll probably just avoid me now thinking Im so kind of blubbering weirdo haha!

well done for putting ur foot down hun! omg especially as ur going private! ive just started to learn that being nice and quiet and agreeing to everything they say doesnt always get u anywhere.....im starting to be a lot more firm and putting my foot down, its the only way lol! yes a mth does feel like a complete lifetime, hopefully they will ring u asap and give you advise on what to do xx

omg...!! That is not good customer service...u r paying their bloody wages, they should bend over backwards to help. If i was you, i would threaten to write a complaint to the head office, sum1 else should hav been assigned your case whilst ur gyne is away...!!?Keep mithering, + dont care what she thinks, hope u get sum advice bk, its discusting, it is what ud expect frm nhs not private!! I get messed about + it gets my back up, an that is with nhs, so i cant complain too much...x x if i could+ thought id get sumwhere i definatly would...lol. Ur not asking too much, hope u dont need any further treatment+get ur bfp this mnth...good luck x x

Ok maybe im being paranoid but ive just rang her again, and then she rang me back and said the testing machine at the hospital is broke and that they are waiting for a part?! I hope shes not dragging it out until the new year as its bad news

Good for you for being assertive, I completely agree with DancingKaty, give them some hassle! I wouldn't read too much into it, is more likely to be something administratively / technically wrong than bad news in my experience of this kind of stuff!

when you are paying you have every right to demand advice hun!

Don't know where you are Maggie, but I find that with NHS doctors practicing privately, e.g. couple of clinics each week, the service - and administration - is still very much like the NHS, except that you can get seen quicker and are paying!

I do, however, feel grateful that have been able to pay.

try to stay positive hun.....im sure its not bad news, if nothing is done b4 xmas try not to worry & enjoy your xmas......just think it may be the last one where its just & ur oh!! this time next year you may have a baby!! xx

Theyve still not even rang me back, Im fuming!! Last I heard they had "technical" problems at the testing lab, and she'd ring me back yesterday afternoon with the results.

Do they not know how important it is for me to know if Ive ovulated this time??!! (Ive had 3 lots of 50mg Clomid and didnt ovulate so they increased it to 100mg for this month)

I know im really fortunate to have private health cover and not have to go NHS but surely that means that as Im paying for it, and paying their wages in effect, that they should treat me properly?

Sorry about the rant

xxx
