confused. molar or ectopic

Hello all
Bit of a long story.. I found out I was preg a week or so ago after taking the morning after pill, but we were happy about it. Went for an early scan which showed multi cystic area in the womb, it was suggested to be molar preg or retained products from a previous termination in Dec. Since the termination I didn't feel right..Still felt pregnant and it took 9 weeks for my period to return.

I went to early preg for a follow up and no sac was seen (5.5 weeks preg) but a multi cystic area was still seen. The consultant said she didn't think it was molar or retained... She felt it could be ectopic or missed miscarriage.

Had hcg levels come back at 2,100 and was told today they had increased from Thursday to Saturday(not sure how much). Going to be re scanned and more bloods taken on Monday. Any ideas?xx

Its difficult to say without knowing what your first set of bloods were. The hcg rise can be an important factor in determining whether a pregnancy is ok or not , but even that's not set in stone. Also what makes them think ectopic?.. Was the cystic area outside the uterus (in a tube or ovary?) sorry I can't offer more advise it seems a very complicated situation. Will u be getting another scan? Xxx

I went today and its not ectopic or molar. the cystic area was within the lining of the womb but its disappeared! They saw a tiny pregnancy sac today.. although they said my hcg rose a lot the progesterone is concerning them.. but sent me on my way with another scan booked for next week x
