Hi all
Looking for some thoughts/ any similar experiences on clomid...
Potted history - I am 41, been trying for 2 and 1/2 years. Had mc in feb after conceiving naturally. I have only one ovary, history of PCOS, bmi on the high side and am diabetic. So no issue sthere then!!!!
Have just finished 4th cycle of clomid 50mg - Af came this morning the bitch!
I had bloods on Dy 21 on my first cycle which showed an excellent response to the clomid 50mg so my fs has kept me on same dose.
WHat I have found is that over the last 4 months my cycle hasbeen getting longer. Used to be 28/29 day cycle. Last 3 cycles have been 31/ 33 and 33 days
I take clomid dy 2 to 6 so should ovulate - I thought - bet dy 11 and 15 but if period is coming dy 33 - then cant be ovulating until 19.
ANyone else had this with clomid - altering cycle length??
My fs didnt really have an answer. I am thinking maybe should ask for some Dy 21 bloods again to see what is happening. Although when I asked him about timing conception - he was saying that rather than try and time bding you should just be having regular sex throughout the cycle - that is the best way to get pregnant anyway. He didnt think I needed more bloods.
So - have any of you also found that cycles have lengthened? And what sort of monitoring have you had with clomid?
