Confused..

I came on my period on Saturday just gone but it only lasted 2 days(til sunday) it was really light in colour and flow. I took a test the day before i started bleeding because i couldnt help myself being excited wanting to know if i was pregnant but it came out negative.
Have i took the test too soon?? and is that a period or inplantation??
Please help.

were you due for your AF around Saturday? i would think maybe implantation if you were still a week or so away from having your AF...but if it was a lot lighter and shorter than it normally is i'd say maybe just wait another week and test again?
