Confusing OPKs!

Hi ladies!

My buddy joyfulinhope and I have been trying to suss out these OPKs this month and mine are proving so confusing!

As you can tell by the picture the strongest lines, but by no means positive, were on CD 15 & 16. But they have faded in and out and I haven't had anything resembling a positive! I did have EWCM around days 14, 15, 16. I haven't had any for the past couple days which also makes me think I'm out... But maybe with all the BDing? Gosh I don't know!

We are doing SMEP so have done: CD 6 8 10 12 13 15 16 17 & I'm on day 18 now! Unsure whether to keep going.

I should add my regular cycle is 31 days plus, last month I was surprised by a 25 day cycle so figure I ovulated much earlier than I thought, despite using OPKs?!

So, I guess my question is: is this normal? With longer cycles would I expect a later ovulation date? Why oh why has my EWCM come and gone before a truly positive OPK? Or have I just missed it altogether! Argh!

I guess this is why temping rocks huh?

Yeah, that's confusing. Seems to me like it's likely you O'd CD15/16 and missed the surge on the OPK since you had EWCM but it's hard to be sure without temping. Good luck!

With longer cycles I believe you have a later ovulation date, mines usually some time in the early 20's. CD15 and 16 look pretty close to a positive, it could have been a missed serge with the time of day Either way, go with what your body tells you and the EWCM. Temping really does help though.

Since your opks are fading I wouldn't say you have to bd everyday, although I'm not sure of the guidelines for SMEP. Definitely every other should keep you covered Best of luck!

Thanks ladies, I really appreciate your replies! CM seems to be back today oddly enough but I've done an OPK and again, far from positive! Mrs Dragonfly I think we'll go with EOD, I feel like that will give us a good shot

Hopefully I'll get a positive HPT despite the confusing OPKs! X
