Confusing potty shot - predictions welcome!

Hi lovelies,

I’m new here but was wondering if anyone could advise me on my potty scan from 16 weeks. I see the three vague lines to indicate a girl, however the part that throws me off is the genital area looks too ‘detached’ from the thighs and too long to be a girl... what do you reckon?

I get what you mean. I had a 16 week gender scan and mine is a boy, he looked like this. Was it specifically for gender & what did the sonographer say?

They said girl and I went for an early gender scan but I felt she went into detail with the skull, heartbeat etc but the gender part was super rushed and she literally found a spot and paused on it without looking around the area in detail! So I’m not sure if it’s definitely a girl especially after reading they can get it wrong and also boys can be mistaken for girls early on.. it’s confusing because it’s not the same as many of the girl potty shots I’ve seen online x

To add, baby was the wrong way up and we couldn’t get it to turn around so not sure if that’s partly the reason x

there’s defo no mistaking that one! I just felt maybe mine hadn’t ‘grown’ enough down there, as I don’t feel it’s a girl but it’s not obviously a boy either haha, well in my opinion anyway x

I wud say girl too. This was my babies 16 weeks gender scan.


As u can see he wasn't shy lol.
Also had it confirmed last week at my anomaly scan.

Ok mama, it’s so, so a girl I can see where you are doubting it - but boys are very, VERY obvious at this stage. Any ‘sticky-outy’ bits are just swollen parts
