I have this really sharp pain on the right side of my belly button that has been constant for the last 45 minutes or so. I got it suddenly after standing up from sitting at the kitchen table. It hurts more when I move certain ways or bend down, or push on it. What could this be? I thought maybe it was gas, but I don't know. The fact that it's just hurting in the same spot constantly makes me think it's not gas.

Anyone have any idea what this could be? Could it be ligament pain? It hurts a lot worse when I stand up. It's just a really sharp pain, constantly. The pain is about 3 inches to the right side of my belly button. It's really annoying! Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

i had something just like that above my belly button last night but i honestly think it was just something stretching and moving. It hurt and was somewhat hard. But it ended up going away about 2 hours later

Thanks for replying! It's actually gotten much better, and now it's turned into a mild dull ache. I think it's just stuff moving around in there or something lol. Phew! I was starting to get freaked out that it could be appendicitis or something!

Mine did the same, i think it is just things moving and stretching and finding it place and everything. Glad its getting better!! :)

I didn't even want to look it up on Google because whenever I do that I freak and think I have something horrible, and then it always ends up being nothing. Lol! :dohh:

I've just got back from the doctors with this! Mine was like a horrible painful stitch that was worse when I moved, it started Wednesday and was seriously painful, less so yesterday and just tender today but thought I'd better get checked. She said it's basically the two abdominal walls stretching apart to make room for the baby, nothing to worry about unless accompanied by other symptoms such as fever, vomiting, bleeding or discharge. She said it may come and go a bit but does settle down. She also recommended paracetamol. Hope that helps x

Thanks so much!! That is really comforting. I still have it a tiny bit but it is significantly better than before. The wonderful worrysome aches and pains of pregnancy! :flower:

I had that this morning. I needed to just go the bathroom actually, haha :)

But, I had that same pain with my daughter and I always contributed it to round ligament pain.
