constipation vs labour pains

ive had a few false labours that were bowel cramps and they hurt like mad!
ive been having period pain with back and hip ache for hours but not coming regulaly i dont want to ring the midwife again to be told its coz im bunged up sorry for TMI ive been going loads recently

just wondered if anyone else had the same? xx

Glad to see someone gets this too! I get IBS (have done for years) which was always worse with PMS, so I get so confused about which pain I'd down to what. And now I'm on iron tablets my IBS is even worse - never sure if it's coming from bowels or uterus! And now I hear you can get rectal pain in labour anyway...

I guess if the pains get stronger and closer together it's labour, otherwise it's not? Suppose we'll find out soon... Good luck! X

someone once described labor pains as charly horse pains. That is actually pretty accurate for my labor. Does it feel like that? pain starting off low, then twisting till u wanna die, then tapering off?
