Constipation ?

Lily asnt poohed since tuesday tea ...was at docs yesturday so mentioned it ...Doc said that it was normal and he didnt want to give such a tiny baby anything to help as it prob would upset her tummy and make her have runs ...Gunna try with cooled boiled water but worried that she will miss a feed if i do that as shes not takin a lot ...everything i read states bf babies dont get constipated ? she only had formula friday saturday of last week while i got my supply up ...when shud i ring docs again ? any ideas if i can eat anything to help ?

Dont worry just get. Hebe went 10 days once. Dont give her water - she's waaaaay too young. Her pooping pattern will alter over these next weeks and it's normal to skip a few days. Dont forget that there is very little waste in BM so there won be much to part with!

ive found recently when thomas is struggling to go that it helps to give him a feed. he fills his nappy then. dunno wether it helps or if its just coincidence though.

Are you on any medication? My breastfed baby got constipated when I was taking medication that listed it as a side effect.

Hannah quite often goes 5-7 days without pooping. Breast milk gets so well used by their bodies that there is little left to poo out xxx

Babies like to worry us huh!! Though i do agree with Charlieann Tabs used to do that (fill her nappy when i fed her) BF babies dont need to poo all the time cos there is so little waste

Ive got the same problem Scott went twice on thursday and not been since-lots of farts tho lol.....if he doesnt go by tomorrow we gotta see the docotor

First bout lasted 2 days when she was 10 days old second bout started at 14 days old and lasted 4 days ...yet shes happy in herself ....try not to worry my doc said she would go when she needed and i guess she did x
