a few months back i was a victim of a fraud scam, i had to go without a bank account for a while before getting a new one, i explained this to o2, the lady was very nice and said that she will personally take care of my account, be in touch whenever anything comes up, and she will put a note on the system to stop it going to debt collectors. i last made a payment in August and got up to date with my account, i havent been able to make a payment since under the circumstances and now my phone has been disconnected.
Ive called them and told them i fully understand why its been disconnected, i dont expect them to keep it going and into more debt but the woman told me she would be in contact with me, this woman told me if i pay £135 in the next 7 days thats fine, my phone will be reconnected and fully up to date, great, so i asked if i can make this payment in 2, she said no they dont accept part payments, but ive been told many times they do, they help out their customers and if i am struggling they will help by setting up a payment plan, im more than happy to wait for my phone to be re connected until ive cleared the balance but they wont accept it, told me i have to find £135 by 7 days, if i dont it will be given to a debt collection agency.
to me it seems they dont want to help me, they arent arsed if it goes to recovery, its all my fault anyway.
yes i totally get its my responsibility to pay my bill but i told them reasons why i cant and they said they understood, they said they would help me, and now they arent??
 
Tbh there isn't any reason why you couldn't pay your bill and they don't mess about anymore if you don't pay for however long they give you to pay then it will be passed over.
 
well yes there is a reason i couldnt pay it.
I was scammed out of £300 plus my pay pal is in neg £300 due to this scam!
my question was, shouldnt they at least take my offer for part payments in my circumstance, but its fine ive sorted it now
 
I had a similar thing with o2. I couldn't afford to pay my bill anymore, so they disconnected me completely and asked for a full payment of £190 to turn it back on. I explained I was struggling for money as a single parent with a lot going on, and they actually advised me to let it go to a debt collection agency as they can offer part payments, whereas o2 can't. I hope you get it sorted. :) Sorry you were scammed, there's some nasty people out there!
 
the only reason i didnt want it to go to debt collectors was because it would go up from £135, to £300, id loose my contract and have no chance of getting another.
Luckily OHs aunt is really generous and paid the bill for us and letting us pay her in installments, annoyed me how one min they are promising to help, they understand etc, then all of a sudden no they dont want to know! mehh!! thanks :)
 
O2 for you hun. I am glad my contract finishes this month cus i AM NOT upgrading with them
 
i was debating whether to or not, but they do have some good perks, i also dont think i would be accepted by another company, infact a few months before i got this contract i applied for one with vodafone and wasnt accepted, but o2 called me and offered me the contract bcos ive been a customer literally all of my phone life, i think thats the only reason i got accepted, was because they offered me it?
 
I have my contract through my oh as my credit is quite bad cus when younger i made some mistakes. We are using a caparison sight this time. Through them i get the iphone 6s free but if i go through o2 sight i have to pay £30 upfront. Ive had o2 for a very long time but all i have had in the last 2 years is problems. Had problems where i get a message saying ive had a missed call even tho my phone didnt ring plus the signal got worse last few months where it kept cutting off. Really pushed my patience this time
