Hi

Can someone tell me if I am supposed to be offering my LO cooled boiled water as well as her formula? e.g inbetween feeds?

She has been eating fine and has no probs with digestion etc plus is going to toilet fine, i always thought the boiled water was optional but have just read something that makes me wonder if im wrong and thats its essential for FF babies?

Help lol x

have a look at this xx

my first 5 were all ff n i never found they needed water tbh they only time they had any was if they had thrush after the med i gave them a mouthful just to clear the toungue

I asked his Dr. about it & told me that formula is 70-80% water, so there is no need to offer any extra as it takes the space available for feeds. unless ur baby is constipated u dont really need to. As for milk resedue, u can clean it with a moist cloth to avoid thrush.

Water is only needed if your LO is constipated, or off their formula and at risk of dehydration - like if they are ill.
