anyone with thyroid issues take it for better quality eggs?

I think I messed up. doc says may blood tests tsh was ok, yesterdays was elevated, meds need adjusted. now going to emergency endo doc visit tomorrow. I've had stable thyroid with meds for years...so I can only think it's the coq10...guess I am gonna stop and be upfront with endo tomorrow...

:dohh:

I have been on thyroid meds and have been taking CoQ10 for over a year. I don't feel like I've had any adverse side effects of taking both. But, ask the dr, and see whats/he says.

Thanks Vonn

Tried to go see my endocrinologist as walk in for this emergency thing. Yesterday the nurse had told me that my TSH was bit off and needs to be in check during transfer time etc. Not highly off but still. Couldn't get hold of doc over phone yesterday and today tried to do a walk in. Long story but wasn't able to get seen, got so frustrated and angry (plus was soaking wet from the rain and not feeling well as is), I almost ended up crying and left.

I guess these meds/injections are making me highly emotional and only with last night and this morning. I hate crying like this in public.

So I have no answers to the COQ10 thing. The only other thing I can think to have caused this change (besides stress but it's not like I was overly stressed) is that I was on the Chinese herbs/acupuncture. That is only thing that was different. I tried a couple of DHEA tabs here there, but like 10 in 3 months...so don't think that would've done it.

So not sure if to take the COQ10 or not till I see her on Saturday. Will try to talk to her on phone today. Not sure what to do.... I want good quality eggs but thyroid needs to be in shape too.

I have been taking Ubiquinol (active form of coq10) for a year now for improving egg health, no thyroid issues.

Thanks Lisap2008

I had skipped 2 days of COQ10 and started again last night. I only take 50 mg of the active form, the ubiqunol. Maybe it's not doing much but somehow I've always been afraid to take more. I figure I need healthy eggs to be forming during this IVF cycle. Well maybe it's too late for eggs for this cycle...but was taking it past 2 months or so...so hopefully it is gonna pay off this cycle.

Still waiting to see the endocrinologist...possibly on Saturday. Will discuss it with her then.

Just for comparisons sake, I take 600 units of the active form daily! I can't imagine you taking 50 messed everything up. But every body is different. GL with the endocrinologist.

On actively trying cycles (medicated) I was taking 400mg ubiqiniol a day as I read it equals to about 800mg coq10 . on NTNP cycles I lower the dose to 100mg.
