Hey it's me again,
I have a question to ask and it's based on some info I received from the hospital today. Ok so here goes,
I've been having cramping pains for the past week and earl this morning like around 6am the pain turned into contraction like pains but it was only located on my right side. Initially I assumed that it was Appendicitis so I went to the er and they gave me a sono. When the sono results came back they stated that they found a CORPUS LUTEUM CYST..???!!! So now I'm left with the question of now what? Af is due to arrive tomorrow the 12th so i'm wondering if that means she is around the corner or if this means that m body is trying to get pregnant. Someone please help!!

It doesn't indicate either way which will happen - AF or pg. All it does is confirm you ovulated this cycle.

Every month when you ovulate the follicle releases an egg and then collapses and converts to a corpus luteum cyst. The corpus luteum release progesterone to keep your lining stable just in case pg occurs. If the egg is fertilzed and implants it will send signals to keep the corpus luteum and release more progesterone.
If implantation doesn't occurr then the corpus luteum cyst will start to collapse around 14 days after O and AF arrives.

Apologies if that was stuff you already knew, but you seem a little concerned by the cyst :)

For some reason when my corpus luteum is on my right side i too get appendicitus type rumblings and pain, mine is usually worse at night and i feel it intermittently through my LP. I think it's just one of those things though and likely we are more aware as we know where we are in our cycles and are looking for feelings and symptoms.

Good luck - I hope your corpus luteum is sticking around and it;s not AF.
