I'm not pregnant and don't plan on to be for a few years at least yet but i do like to plan for the future.
I have had two planned sections, first one due to twins and my daughter very kindly blocking the exit lol
second one i kinda felt was forced on me, i was so planning for a VBAC but at 39 weeks went in to be examined due to non movement to be told that i had alot of fluid and she felt very small and was always on the slightly smaller scale at all my scans (they werent expecting her to be much more than 5lbs! FYI she was 7lb 8oz when born! must have had a major growth spurt in that last week lol) so they wanted me in for more monitoring and booked me in for a week later as they felt it was the best option for her as smaller babies tend to be harder to push out (aparently, according to the doctor)
i was in a bit of a blur as i was still taking in the information about them being a bit worried about her to even register properly they had booked me in for another section.
glad they did really as when she was born she wasn't breathing as she had got her cord wrapped tightly round her neck. came round with a shock and projectile pooped all over the midwife payback lol
i was told under no circumstances will i be able to have a natural birth now but i'm scared to have another section. both times i lost alot of blood and second time my BP crashed to 29/57! it took them 6 hours to get it to stabilise again, i was very spaced out due to it and the ammount of drugs they pumped in me to try and make me better. i never want to feel like that again or put myself at risk like that again, but i dont want to not have anymore babies.
could i push for a natural delivery when i do eventually have another?? My scar first time round was so neat and tidy that they couldnt find it externally or internally and the second one to me looks better than the first! and i suppose it helps as both were planned and aparently healing is quicker and better after planned (cant remember where i read that)
Im just so scared to go through another section, im that worried and scared that i feel like saying to them that i will just have the baby at home by myself if they wont let me have a natural birth!
is there anyone out there to have had a successful VBA2C?
