Could I have missed ovulation?

So I started taking the First Response opk tests on May 17th and still have not gotten a positive. My last period was May 10th, my cycles are usually 24-25 days so it said to start testing on day 8 which I did. Last month, it was a little late, started on day 28 so I am wondering if that is why I haven't gotten a positive maybe? I have been testing everyday at about 1:00pm but I have been reading that the LH surge can be quick so could I have missed it?! Any advise?

The timing can definitely be tricky. My dr recommended I do opks in the afternoon, but I did both morning and afternoon and I get clearer results in the morning. It could be a timing thing for you, too. But it could be other things. I tend to ovulate later in my cycle and have a short luteal phase--like I ovulate on CD20 (not now because I am on fertility meds and my ovulation is triggered). Do you know for sure that you are ovulating? Also, are your lines getting darker or changing at all? The best way to confirm ovulation is through basal body temping, or bbt. Good luck figuring it out! I know of people on here who got pregnant on months they didn't get a positive opk, so keep trying regardless! :winkwink:

I got a positive a few months ago when we tried, then I wasn't taking them and I started again this month. The lines seem to be staying the same.

Similarly, when I first started using opks I never saw a positive. It was until I started testing morning, afternoon and evening that I caught it. My advice is to buy some internet cheapies and test a lot! The following month you won't need to test as much as you'll know your likely date. Also, (apologies if this is obvious) stick them on a sheet of card and keep them all. Seeing the relative change of that second line is also helpful, although slightly gross.
