my lo is 7 months and sttn from 8 wks...when he reached 6 months things changed...
im trying to figure out what has caused this & wot has changed....i have eliminated it down to-
1)teething
2)possible growth spurt
3) reaching new milestone (up on all 4's trying to crawl)

The only other thing that we are doing differenty is giving follow on instead of newborn milk...

i am going to try back on newborn to see if there is a change...just curious about others experience

Everything you've listed could cause it! I agree with switching back to the other formula, otherwise it's just going to be a matter of waiting.

I know that babies can go through sleep regression from about 4-8 months old. My DD2 did and since 7-8 months old about 50% of the time she will wake up at about 2 or 3am and need to be soothed back to sleep (sometimes involving a drink and a nappy change), whereas before this she was STTN from 8-9 weeks old. xxx

thanx 4 ur replies...i am using up the rest of follow on today but last nite i gave a small spoonfeed of baby rice along with last bottle at 7.30 and he slept through until 7.10 this morning...could be coincidence ...a few days will tell...i will also be goin back onto stage1 milk this evening!!!!!!!!!!! heres hoping

have you started weaning? If you are just giving follow on milk on its own baby will be hungry through the night. The follow on is basically just a drink with extra nutrients and i dont think it fills them like the stage 1/2 does. At that age my l/o was fully weaned and down to 3 bottles a day. But when i had started to wean my l/o was waking through the night until I started doing what you did and gave him some baby rice before bed time (I added it to his milk), which helped him sleep right through. And if all else fails hun, then try not stress over it, baby will soon get back into a routine.

Lots of luck x

yea i started weaning at 17 weeks...although LO started to go off spoon feeds (possibly due to teething)..i changed back to infant formula and spoon feed at bed seems to be doing the trick (hope it lasts) thanks
