Hiya, does anyone know if there is any difference between cow and gate comfort and aptimal comfort? or if one is better than the other? my son is on cow and gate comfort but gets very belly achey on it and also seems to get hungry very quickly on it, he also has lots of dirty nappies on this milk and i'm wondering if it goes through him too quickly so he's getting hungry sooner, have tried cow and gate first milk but he found it harder to poo, so wondering if aptimal comfort would make a differene? thankyou for your help!

There might be a slight difference, but they are much of a muchness. I doubt you'd notice any difference in using one from the other.

It does take a while for things to settle down when you switch to comfort - if it's been less than 2-3 weeks since you started using it I'd suggest giving it at least that long before switching again.

If you have a look on both boxes the head office address is the same on both.. they seem to be made by the same people

thankyou both for your replies, he was 10 weeks early and i expressed for him for 7 weeks and when breastfeeding didn't work they put him on sma gold prem 2 which he was great on but he put on a good amount of weight in one week and so they put him on c & g first which made him constipated so they put him on the comfort and he's been worse on the comfort than any other milk arghh! just wish i could find something to make him happy and content, but i know he'll grow out of it :) thankyou again x

I had that problem with my daughter and after a week of aptimal comfort I went to the doctors...turned out she was lactose intollerant and they put her on SMA lactose free milk

I switched from SMA 1 to Aptamil comfort as dd had colic. The only difference I've noticed is much looser nappies. I also had to switch to size 3 teats cos it was taking her sooo long to get it out as it's much thicker than SMA. I'd def give it a while before switching again.

xx
