My LO is 6wk old tomorrow and I maintained BF for 3weeks. I have been feeding her Cow & Gate first stage but doesnt seem to be satisfied from these even after a 4oz feed.

Sometimes she will have 4oz and drink it all or she'll leave 1oz and then stress for it an hour later but then that 1oz doesnt touch the sides and she crys for more.

Plus at night she is terrible, Last night/this morning she woke at 3.10am and after been fed, winded and changed she finally settled at 5.00am !!!:cry::cry:

her feeds are varied as she can go for longer than 3hrs and less than 1hr during the day but at night she can't seem to last that long and you would think that she had been fed ages ago the way she can sometimes scream.

I know she's still only young but I was wondering can I give her a Hungry milk feed before bed to help her settle more. whilst using stage 1 for the rest of her feeds or will i need to use one or the other??

if she is taking the full 4oz some times you need to up it to 5oz then when she starts taking all that add another oz untill shes on full bottles then mover her over. you can give her hugry milk as it is just the same cals but it tricks them in to felling fuller but can stop them taking all thy really need

Hungry milk doesn't trick them into feeling fuller - it is casein (cow's milk protein) based, instead of being whey based like no 1 milk (and breastmilk). Casein takes longer to digest than whey, therefore it keeps them fuller for longer.
Your LO doesn't sound like she needs hungry milk, she is just little and not into a feeding routine yet...she'll fall into one soon enough.

I used hungry milk because LO wasn't satisfied after 9oz of no1 milk.
