Hey

Just wondered if anyone else is finding the same... Wen to my local supermarket and no stage 1 or stage 2 left and then my friend went to asda and it said only 2 per customer?

I'm a bit worried to say the least, nothing on their website!! Do you reckon it's just people panic buying because of the snow???

I know it happened a few weeks ago with the comfort milk but its a bit ridiculous, I mean other brands aren't having the same probs are they? X

Our ASDA has put a limit on how much of it you can buy too. We don't have a snow warning here so not sure why anyone would panic buy or give them a reason to limit it.

Strange. I bought 3 tubs in tesco last week with no problem

What??!!! I need to buy milk today - had no idea there were any limits? May do the shopping in Tesco rather than asda now!

I bought 5 tubs in tesco last week, I always buy my months supply at once? Maybe try whither supermarket. I use c&g stage 1. X

We're having a problem with aptamil first milk. Boots and superdrug didn't have any and finally got some in co-op but OH said there was none in sainsburys and none in waitrose either, only the comfort and anti colic left.

Just tried to do an online click and collect shop in Tesco and C&G 1st milk powder is not available at all - I can get it from asda but even online it limits you to 2 tubs.

Is there a supply issue? Bit worried now as we combi feed and it took ages to get LO to take formula and we tried them all!

Probably a bit of panic buying because of the weather/ Easter holidays maybe? Aptamil and Cow and Gate come from Ireland, maybe the weather has caused some importing/transport issues? As others have said, best to buy a month in advance if you can. My local Morrisons is always low on Aptamil, they only have it half the time which is why I started buying a month ahead of myself. I only buy one at a time, but have 4 unopened in my cupboard at any one time.

Just been to my local asda - there's loads in stock there!

We've always bought 6 to last the month, i think our morrisons has a limit, but not sure if thats 3 tubs or 6 x

Our local Asda had no cow and gate stage 1 left today! They also seemed to have had a run on nappies too as there were very few of the smaller sizes left :(

It may just be the fact that some deliveries have not been made due to snow on roads. Our local shops were looking very bare shelved earlier in the week.

We use Aptamil and were limited to two tubs in Asda (so bought some more in boots). Asda said it was because they were having problems with supply as Aptamil were having a problem with one of the ingredients.

Think there must have been limits on a few things then. I tried to order a 2 week supply of Hipp organic follow on milk and it would only let me buy 6x 500 ml bottles. I then tried to get it on the Boots website and that was limiting me to 2. I ended up getting cow and gate follow on with no problems through Asda online.

they were out of stage 1 powder at my local boots today but had plenty of rtf

Went to Morrisons today, they were fully stocked. I wonder if the bad weather has caused a delay in getting the milk shipped around the country. Should return to normal once the weather improves or if it is a production problem they will soon get a new supplier. Either way, I'm glad I only have a few tubs left to buy (my daughter is 10.5 months and I buy a month in advance so only 1 or 2 tubs left to buy, Yay!). I have definitely found formula harder to come buy with my daughter than with my son. I think Aptamil/Cow and Gate might need to up their production or supermarkets need to stock more.
