hi has anyone had this happen to their baby?i can sometimes hear a sort of popping noise from babies leg when he kicks. It doesnt seem to hurt him and he moves his legs fine amjust wondering what it is. My doc and h.v wereuseles when i askd and l©ªokd at me as if i was mad when i askd. .v reasuring .

Yup! Alex's legs pop now and then. I have no idea what it is

They should check his hips to see if that's where the noise is coming from. If it is, then the socket might be shallow and need a harness to keep the leg in place and allow it to deepen. This is a standard newborn check and any GP or HV should be aware of it!

Alex was fine at his checks. It's his knees that pop now and then.

it comes from the knees nt d hips

If he doesn't seem to be in pain, it might be nothing? GP might ease your mind though.
My knee pops right out of place and thats absolute agony.

It is to do with their development apparently. My LOs arm used to do the same, I used to think I had broken her arm when I was changing her or playing with her

Oh has heard lo's arm pop. I haven't but I can feel her joints in her ankles sort of clicking a bit when I'm playing with her legs...!

My LO's Wrists, elbows, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle click/pop. I was told shes gunna be double jointed.
Not sure if thats true lol.

o thanks guys glad am not the only 1 . . I wonder y it happenz,didnt with my 1st

DD has knee and hip pops sometimes. Her hips don't pop anymore but her knees still do. GP and chiropractor both said it's just the joint popping out which is very common with newborns and will go away as they get older
