Cramp in my tummy last night....!!

Hi Ladies x

Just after a bit of advice or reassurance really.

I'm just over 11 wks pregnant. Woke up in the middle of the night with quite a sharp cramp (like a period pain) lasted for about 1 min and then faded off, frightened the hell out of me and I ran to the toilet expecting the worst.... but nothing no discharge or blood.

Just wondered if anyone has ever experienced anything like this around this time? Just completely stressed today, has really worried me.

try not to worry yourself toomuch hun. been preggers is a big change for your body. been a bit crampy is usully normal as long as its not coming with bleeding, i mean like really red blood. ive read that if something is going wrong with LO then pain is herendous like you are doubled up with it. and just think postive your LO as got this far and that is a long way.( even though still long way to go) the cruital stages are out of the way. they usually say if you get to 10 weeks everything should be fine.

Ah, hun, it's normal. I am sure all is well!

I get the odd cramp when I am in a wrong position, if I am laying down and stretch or cough, etc.

Sounds pretty normal, and a very good sign that it went away quickly and there is no bleeding. I know that when I moved the wrong way at that stage in my pregnancy I would get a horrible, sharp pain in my side. It would go away after a minute or two but boy did it hurt!

You'll probably get lots of strange pains as your pregnancy progresses & mostly they're just growing pains. A sharp pain that lasts just a min is probably just stretching. I get pains like that all the time now as my ligaments stretch.

I had the exact same thing.... cramped up a few times, really badly, and thought the worst... Turns out I was windy and constipated

i think that comes with been a mum luv. you worry everyday of your prenancy and your gonna worry everyday for the rest of your life. we got a lot of worring to come im really looking forward to it

I had exactly the same and had a scan because I was so scared! In retrospect I fel a bit silly now, because it was probably just constipation pain! My scan was too early to see anything except there's a getsational sac there. So it didn't get me anywhere really! Just try and relax and enjoy being pregnant. (So says the person who has freaked out about something different every day since the day I got BFP!!!!)
