I am 15w3d and for the past few days I've been having some cramping where my uterus/bladder would be after completely emptying my bladder. It is especially crampy if I've held my urine for a while or had a really full bladder (like in the morning when I wake up). Is this normal/common? I don't have any signs of UTI. Thanks girls :)

Ooo id like to hear everyones input on this, Im gonna ask my doctor at my appointment next tuesday about this too! Ive been experiencin it for a while now but not everytime i pee. To me its not necessarily cramping but it feels like my insides are shifting back down as my bladder empties lol and i feel it even more when i go to the bathroom after holding it in or after its super full! I wonder what it is! A very odd almost uncomfy feeling for sures.

Yeah you're right, it's not really a "cramping". I am not sure how to really explain the feeling! It's like a pulling/shifting/pinching feeling. It's been 20 minutes since I emptied my bladder and I'm still getting the feeling, but only on the right side. I've never had it last so long! I am thankful I am seeing my OB/GYN tomorrow. I'll post what she says!

Yup I've been getting it from about 12 weeks. Doc says everything is ok. My bladder and uterus and fighting it out in general for space down there. As soon as I get a slightly full bladder I can feel it pushing against my uterus.

oh my gosh thanks for asking this!
lol I keep wondering why this happens to me.
it doesn't happen everytime but about everyday when my bladders really full it's get weird fluttery feeling like my bodyparts are readjusting or something. it feels so strange.

sometimes I think Ihave a uti or something because I just peed & my back & stomach cramped a bit.

I used to get this all the time when i was pregnant. It was the worst in second trimester i found.

I have the same issue and mentioned it to my doctor, but he doesn't seem concerned.

Yep, I get it too and it's at its worst when my bladder has been really full x

This is definately ligaments. I get it too, especially if my bladder is super full when I go. That bladder is right under the uterus now (since our babies are now up into our abdomen) so it makes sense that those ligaments that hold up the uterus have to work harder when the bladder is empty. Everything seems to shift and readjust itself. It seems to be worse and earlier with each pregnancy (this is my 4th). ligaments and pelvic pain ... ugh.

I had this today!!! Thanks for asking. :)

Glad to see it's normal.

I also used to get similar during bad AF days sometimes.

I asked my obgyn and she didn't seem too concerned, she said it's most likely just ligament pain and the bladder/uterus shifting. Holy crap though does it ever hurt! Seems to be getting worse. She said to contact her right away if I experience any signs of UTI, but right now she thinks I am fine.

I was having the exact same thing and I asked my doctor and he said that since your bladder sits right up against your uterus that when your bladder gets released it send a signal to your brain that often is the same signal that simulates contractions. As long as they are not very painful or consistent then my doctor said it was normal.
