Good morning everyone,

Just posting about some cramps I have been experiencing the past couple of days. They feel like menstrual cramps, but there is no blood (thank goodness)..... It also feels tender and crampy down by my pubic bone.

This is my first go around and I'm worrying about every little symptom! My uterus measured 8 weeks ahead at my last appointment but my 1st US isn't until Friday.

Wondering if anyone else is or has experienced this? I'm sure that if I'm not bleeding it's normal pregnancy pain. And I've been waking at 4 AM just because for about 3 nights now. Perhaps I am overthinking it.

Thanks for reading, hope you are feeling good today!

Maybe just uterus stretching to make more room for baby

Sounds like uterus stretching, but if it gets worse or to ease ur mind, you could give your doc/midwife a ring

Sounds like the normal stretching pains! Don't hesitate to give your MW a call though, it's what she's there for xxx

Sounds like normal uterine stretching, but iot could be worth ringing your midwife. Why are they waiting until so long to give you your first US? They didn't do a dating scan? NT scan? I'd ask to push your scan date up.

I am not sure why they are waiting so long. My first appt in July they did all the blood/urine work, and the last two times (August and September) they checked my weight, palpated my uterus, and listened to the heartbeat. It's at a naturopath clinic here in WA and I don't really know what the protocol is for them.

This US will also be my anatomy screening even though I will be 18 weeks then she wants to make sure everything is peachy because I'm measuring large. Oh I hope that it's just twins in there making my womb grow and grow! Been put through quite the ringer, seems like a lot if it's just one baby :p

I agree with the ladies! Could just be stretching pains and or round ligament pains. I know I've been having similar pains to what you're describing, this is my first pregnancy so I'm always reminding myself that everything has to stretch out and make room for the first time! If you are worried I would definitely give the doc/ob a ring! I don't know why you haven't had an ultrasound yet! I've had 3 so far!

I've had these feelings at this point in pregnancy with all of my babies. I call them growing pains, and they freak me out every single pregnancy. Make sure you're fully hydrated, and try changing positions when this happens. It is probably your body making room, but we can sometimes just lessen the feeling if it bothers you. I always get cramping if I'm dehydrated, even if I think I've been drinking enough but my body disagrees. :)

I have had this on and off this entire pregnancy. Pretty sure it's just stretching. Take it easy and drink lots of water :)

Just had this on Friday. Feels exactly like AF cramps. OB checked me out and did urine sample for UTI. Came back ok but OB said I was dehydrated and also could be round ligament pain. A lot of women I have spoken to also have them...they all agree to drink some water and try to lay still for a bit.

MW said everything I feel is normal--whew!

I can literally feel my uterus ballooning each time I get a cramp, it is the strangest most awe-striking thing
