Archie is 4 1/2 weeks now and a real bad windbag , he constantly has bellyache and hates being lay on his back ...the minute i put him down he screams and from 4pm til 9pm every evening and this morning from 5 45 til midday he screams and draws his knees up

i was looking it up on the internet (bad bad google) and discovered this technique(cranial osteopathy) which is meant to re-align babys spine and skull and its supposed to help with colic symptoms and a generally unhappy baby...all they do is lay their hands on babys head and gently massage the bones of the skull..it isnt painful and there were lots of good testimonials

ive booked a session at a local private osteopath at a cost of £50 per session i just wondered if anyone had heard of it before or even used an osteopath

thanks
xx

Never hear of it but would not do it (personal opinion) as playing around with a babies spine and skull has nothing to do with his tummy ??

There are loads of homeopathic remedies that can help your baby , why not try those first ? my son had major colic but ti went away after 3 months

I know a few people that have had it done and say it has worked wonders.

I also know a couple of girls who have taken their LOs and it worked wonders for them too

My friend took her little girl and it did really help her. She was really cranky and cried all the time. The osteopath didn't touch her spine at all. He very gently touched her head and shoulders. He said she was tensed up which could have been a result of her birth - very quick delivery with forceps. He gave my friend some ideas about how to hold her LO while feeding which helped too. She went twice and says it has had a positive effect upon her LO.
Personally, I have been to one for myself when I had a bad back and I found it to be excellent. It was gentle manipulation and i was cured after one session.
It's definitely something to think about.

thanks for the replies i think im def going to take him along...watch this space lol xx
