Yesterday I was in the supermarket and i had been after something yummy to nibble on that was healthy. so i grabbed some rice cakes. then walking down the aisle of spreads and jams etc, i saw the MARMITE (i usually DETEST the stuff lol). I grabbed a huge jar and put it in my trolley. THEN in thecar park i opened it and started dipping the crackers in it and scoffing them down lol.

I have eaten about a quarter of the jar since yesterday lol i have also found its the only thing that i dont feel sick after eating lol

Anyone else got random cravings already or changing tastes for things u usually dont like etc???

Not yet this time around. But I CRAVED seltzer water with DD... actually screamed at DH to go to the bleeping store and get me some about 2 days before I gave birth... when I returned home I dumped it all out as it tasted awful! Go figure lol

I had to look up marmite! Yuck that stuff looks really bizarre! haha! I have random cravings for things, but nothing quite like that yet! :)

Mmmmm I love marmite :) its good when your pregnant as it has folic
Acid in it. Maybe your body wants more!

I love marmite anyway but have loved it even more the last couple weeks, marmite on toast mmmmmmmmm . xxx

Mmmmm Marmite! Crystal Its sort of salty - its definately one of those love hate things!

But its packed full of good B vitamins - im a big fan especially on toast with a soft poached (or hard poached - but its not the same!!) egg on top.

LOL!
That has to be THE best craving I've heard :haha:

For those of you not familiar with the wonder (LOVE IT) that is marmite, their marketing strategy is that you love it or hate it. There seems to be no one in the middle!

We all love it in our house although not scooping it out of a jar (however my 2.5 year daughter decided to try and practically stick her head in a jar at the weekend lol).

Rx

It's amazing with egg, especially boiled egg and soldiers. It's yeast extract.
Sooooo good!

Oh wow... I just looked that stuff up. What does it taste like??

Its really like the most savoury taste you can imagine, quite salty and almost meaty in flavour lol.
